PROJECT PROPOSAL ASSIGNMENT

Construct a brief proposal for your final project.

Project requirements:

1. Project must use post-production techniques (plain old editing counts here) as a primary element in its construction.
2. Project must be a minimum of 5 minutes in length unless other arrangements are made with the instructor.
3. Project must contain image AND sound.
4. Project must be completed in the following formats:
1. DVD-R with at least one menu
2. MP4 or M4V using the h.264 codec at 720p resolution.
5. Project must demonstrate significant engagement with its subject matter and construction over the course of the second half of the semester.
6. Project should be a serious attempt to construct something representing your work as an artist; it should be something you would use in your portfolio of work.

Proposal Requirements:

1. A brief summary of the project’s theme(s) and/or goal(s).

2. A statement of WHY you are embarking on the project.

3. A statement describing the people and/or type of venues the project is FOR.

4. A summary of the technical and human means by which the project will be realized.

5. A budget for the completion of the project.

6. A calendar including dates for completing each stage of production and post-production.

7. Minimum length 2 typewritten pages. No maximum length.
